When I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday in January 2015 in Cabo San Lucas, I honestly had NO inkling that I would be moving here less than 10 months later. I had only been here twice before– once in 2009 celebrating my FREEDOM from my first "grown-up" job as a restaurant manager before starting my next "grown-up" job as an office manager of a real estate company. The second time was in 2013, when I surprised my mom for Mother's Day by visiting her here.

If I had known then I would be moving here full-time in November of the same year, I'm not sure I would have chosen it as my Bday destination, but I wanted fun + sun– so it definitely fit the bill! Plus, my parent's have an awesome home here AND a time-share at Fiesta Americana which I was able to snag my birthday dates for– so all in all I win for me and my friends! On top of all that I could call it my "Baja Bday Bash" and I am a sucker for an alliteration.
Other things that I love more than I probably should: themes. So, I jumped on the opportunity to make a Noelle-esque fiesta. Cue the mini piñatas, shark + 30 + birthday cake shortbread cookies (yes I baked and imported my own– I'm one of those people), mini balloons, streamers, tiara, guest "goodie" bag, and of course a Champagne party hat!
The mini piñatas are from the CUTEST Etsy shop: Lula Flora
The decor (not pictured: adorable DIY tassel streamers) are from: Shop Sweet Lulu
I made the cookies! You can find similar cookie cutters at: Copper Gifts
